Mom's "AFTER" Pictures

Here is Mom's front door decorated for Easter.
The dry-erase board is filled with love notes from the grandkids.
Here is her decorated living room.
She only had to purchase a few items to make her apartment feel like home.

Della's entertainment center was just right! TONS of storage and shelves (and yes it weighs a ton!!) Mom loves to look out her window -- she does have one the best views.

We found this kitchen cart at Walmart -- just the right size and it gives her more storage, counter space and most important -- a silverware drawer! Thank goodness Mom is tall so she can save counterspace by having the microwave on top of the fridge. Thanks to Dennis and his assistant Jonathon for assembling the kitchen cart.

Mom is standing behind her front door. The tall white cabinet is a great pantry. The trash bag hanging on the door gets emptied every time she goes out as she walks right past the trash closet. (It's on her way to Doris' so it's a beaten path!)

This is the view looking into Mom's bedroom. (Her bed is to the right and the bathroom to the left.) Our baby pictures up above her computer area makes her apartment feel like home to me as I was raised with them on the wall just outside my bedroom. Thanks Diane -- great job on all the hanging!! Mom's printer fits nicely on the shelf and a flat screen and wireless mouse and keyboard help with a small space.

Mom is standing behind her bed and in front of her Cedar chest that fits nicely under her window. The family grouping shows us in our childhood as well as all grown up!
Here is Mom with her best friend and neighbor Doris Proffitt. Mom is in building C in the middle and Doris is in building D toward Mom's end. It couldn't have been any nicer. What a blessing it is to have Mom so happy in such a wonderful setting. It's hard to believe that we actually got her to do it and everything worked out to get her in.
Thanks everyone for helping with the task.

Glad to see the finished pictures on your blog. (I can't believe we went to Calif. without our camera -- proof we were not there to vacation!!) Thanks Donna for getting them blogged.
